The National Leafy Greens Council provides market, nutritional, and educational information to consumers, produce growers and produce buyers. Promotional materials such as our Leafy Greens Lesson Plans encourage our younger consumers to understand the nutritional benefits and the cancer-fighting and prevention elements of leafy greens; and hopefully to encourage the increase in consumption of leafy greens at home. The Council also provides an organizational responsibility to the membership and arranges annual meetings, board meetings, and other forums for networking.

Teachers can incorporate the Leafy Green Lesson Plans into their classroom studies by (1.) downloading the Lesson Plans; (2.) obtaining free trading cards and/or cartoon figures for coloring immediately by accessing links from the lesson plans site, (3.) getting posters, book covers and brochures (while supplies last) by contacting us.
